The Manager, Compliance and Monitoring supports the oversight and coordination of Texas State Technical College's post-award grant and contract portfolio across multiple funding streams and campus locations. This position provides advanced expertisein grant compliance, reporting, monitoring, and operational execution while serving as a key liaison between Sponsored Programs leadership, grant staff, principal investigators, grant accounting, and state and federal funding agencies. The role leads complex post-award compliance activities, supports the implementation of policies, procedures, and standardized workflows, and promotes consistent application of grant management requirements across the institution. Through strong analytical capability, regulatory knowledge, and stakeholder partnership, the Manager helps ensure institutional compliance with state, federal, and private funding requirements while strengthening operational consistency, audit readiness, and grant performance oversight.
Hiring Range is $64,525.03 - $74,203.78 Yearly. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Four years of progressively responsible experience in a post-secondary sponsored programs environment managing post-award compliance for state or federal grants.
Three years of experience leading complex grant portfolios and providing technical guidance to peers or junior staff.
One year of experience working collaboratively with finance, audit, and program leadership.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Certified Research Administrator designation.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in a post-secondary sponsored programs environment managing post-award compliance for state or federal grants.
Four years of experience leading complex grant portfolios and providing technical guidance to peers or junior staff.
Two years of experience working collaboratively with finance, audit, and program leadership.
Ability to interpret grant requirements, regulations, and funding terms and apply them to post-award operational practices.
Ability to collect, analyze, and present data and metrics to measure program performance, identify compliance trends, and prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
Ability to apply financial planning, budget monitoring, and reporting principles to support grant administration and operational decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple grants, projects, competing deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to convey complex information clearly through written, verbal, and presentation formats to diverse audiences.
Ability to use administrative systems, spreadsheets, and business tools to process, analyze, and present information effectively.

Periodic in-state travel to campuses or meetings beyond the employee's designated or nearest base campus may be required based on business needs and will comply with TSTC and State of Texas requirements.
