Rental Inspection Officer I: $47,008 - $51,368/Annually

Rental Inspection Officer II: $52,817 - $57,714/Annually

As the Rental Inspection Officer I & II, you will: provide respectful, courteous, and friendly customer service to all residents, business owners, and property owners while enforcing City ordinances and ensuring compliance of regulations pertaining to the property maintenance code, building code, sign code, zoning ordinance, health code, and other areas under the jurisdiction of the Development Services Department.

The City of Celina operates on a 4-day work week.

What You'll Bring

  • If assigned to Rental Inspection Officer I
    1. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
    2. Code Enforcement Officer Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • If assigned to Rental Inspection Officer II
    1. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
    2. 3+ years of Code Enforcement, or Building Inspection, or related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    3. Code Enforcement Officer Certification required.
    4. International Code Council Property Maintenance & Housing Certification required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
  • Must possess valid class C Driver's License.

Benefits

City of Celina Employee Benefits Four day work week for most positions! Vacation

  • 80 hours per year up to the completion of 5 years of service
  • 120 hours per year up to the completion of 10 years of service
  • 160 hours per year from 11 years of service forward

Sick Leave

Accrues at the rate of one day per continuous month of service for full-time employees for a total of twelve (12) days per year. Can be taken after six months of employment.
