Certified Sterile Processing TechnicianThe Certified Sterile Processing Tech performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, disassembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Responsible for inventory and ordering equipment and maintaining appropriate logs in the Sterile Processing department.Qualifications:Reading and numerical competencyMinimum of two (2) years of sterile process experience, hospital experience strongly preferredSterile Processing Technician Certification from an accredited entity (i.e.) the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (ISHCSMM)Must be detail orientedRequires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutesProficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are neededAttention to detail and ability to write legiblyBasic computer knowledgeEEO Statement: All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
