Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to review, evaluate and process admissions documents, including applications, transcripts and test scores, with a high degree of accuracy while maintaining guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Other duties include audition student files, evaluating transcripts, assisting staff with admissions requirements, determining TSI status and residency, storing and indexing received documents and processing various reports to ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process your assigned applications for admissions each day; undergraduate and dual credit
  • Determine residency for each application based on data provided on the application in conjunction with state residency regulations and college policies
  • Determine continuous enrollment eligibility and when a student must reapply to the college
  • Manage student accounts for both incoming student populations and current students
  • Process all transcripts submitted to the college for admissions purposes
  • Evaluate transcripts for TSI, course equivalencies, withdrawal counts and academic standing
  • Evaluate all other documents submitted and determine appropriate use whether to satisfy an admissions requirement, petition residency or remove a hold
  • Provide support to Enrollment Guides, International and Dual Credit teams as well as other departments within Enrollment Management
  • Audit student files each semester and add holds for any missing documents
  • Run daily cleanup reports to ensure data integrity
  • Scan and index all received documents to our imaging system
  • Work in multiple systems daily; Jenzabar and JRM
  • Manage multiple email accounts from students petitioning tuition, dual credit coaches and transcripts submitted for admissions purposes
  • Manage WebEx team groups to provide admissions support to other departments and staff at the college
  • Run daily jobs to move students to registration, assign ID numbers and send communications
  • Assist with graduation twice a year
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.
Required Education

High School or GED equivalent.
Associates degree preferred

  • Strong computer experience including data entry, auditing of incoming documents, typing

Preferred Skills & Abilities

Required Experience

Previous general office data entry or related experience required.
Previous Customer Service experience required.

Preferred Experience

Two (2) years general office data entry or related experience preferred
One year of experience in a college/university Admissions office preferred
Experience in Jenzabar EX and Salesforce preferred
