Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Handles, distributes, and transfers material and equipment to maintain efficient material flow through the factory.
Performs manual and routine administrative duties in receiving, packing, shipping, and warehousing.
Physically transfers material utilizing handling equipment including forklifts, dollies, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.
Serves as an active member of the team and meets requirements to ensure efficient operation of the shipping/receiving area.
Education & Experience
High school diploma is required.
Ability to read and interpret specifications, maintain records, and use material measurement equipment.
Two to three years of experience in a related shipping, receiving, stockroom, or warehouse environment.
Experience handling customs issues associated with international shipments is a plus.
Experience packaging material shipments and preparing appropriate paperwork is a plus.
Skills
Secondary education is a plus.
Must be customer-service oriented.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with employees at all levels.
Ability to work independently and under limited supervision.
Ability to read, understand, and speak English.
Ability to recognize and follow process specifications and safety rules.
Strong attention to detail and product quality.
Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Experience using ERP systems and WMS software is preferred.
