Management Level: Class 8

Description: This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks: This position requires that the Team Member always performs Lead Person tasks in a safe manner. This positions primary duty is the observation of finished product to ensure compliance to specification, quality and yield achievement. This position requires that the Team Member assists with employee training. This position requires the Team Member to report to Production Management. This position is a key component in overall case ready product acceptance. This position requires that the Team Member accomplishes yield achievement and process efficiency. This position requires that the Team Member has the ability to drive or learn to operate a mule/forklift. This position requires the Team Member to be able to work independently. Must have knowledge and understanding of all product specifications. This position requires that the Team Member performs all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Stressors: Occasional pinch grip with one hand to grasp product. Constant standing and walking. Frequent push/pull with moderate to light force with both hands is required to position the product. Production Rate: If the Lead person is filling in for a production team member they will need to be able to perform at the require production rate for that task. Temperature: 33 ° – 50 ° Fahrenheit

Requirements: To be considered for position, Team Member must possess the following: Must have successfully completed probationary period. Must have excellent attendance record (6 points or less) and maintain 9 points or less. Excellent Safety record, must not have a disciplinary action resulting in Suspension in the last 12 months. Good Communication skills required; bilingual skills a plus. Must have knowledge and understanding of all product specifications. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends/ holidays if required. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 60 lbs.
