Finish assembly of sand core and core parts.Job Title: CORE MAKER/MACHINE OPERATOREmployment Status: Full TimeDepartment: Core RoomFLSA Status: Hourly Non-ExemptEssential FunctionsOperate core make machineryAssist in training co-workersMaintain a good attendance recordKeep work area cleanLoad/unload cores and core pattern pieces into core make machineryInspect own work for visual defectsLearn identification numbers for all core boxesRecord data as required on all internal documentsPerform set‑ups, attend to minor breakdowns and report other equipment conditions as necessarySprinkle or spray parting agent onto pattern and flask, to facilitate removal of core from machinePerform housekeepingRepair damaged impressionsPerform any and all other job related tasks as assignedSkills or Experience RequiredMust have High School diploma or GED. Must be team-oriented. Must be able to follow written and oral instruction. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
