We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional to support a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing environment in Clifton, NJ.
Job Description
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations. Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS. Assists in a variety of duties to include, sampling, observations, training and inspections. Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met. Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives.
Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

Requirements:
▪ 5+ years of EHS experience
▪ Aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, or defense environment experience
▪ Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
▪ Experience with investigations, audits, and corrective actions
▪ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
