Patient Access Manager

This position will work under the direction of the Business Office Director and is responsible for supervision of the Patient Access Department. This position will perform managerial functions to include responsibility for department leadership, decision making, setting department standards and policy guidelines, assigning work schedules for staff, preliminary completion of evaluations for staff and/or corrective actions. Responsible to present documents to the Business Office Director for review and final approval.

Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of college education with classes in business, accounting/finance. Equivalent work related experience may be considered in lieu of education. Minimum of two (2) years of experience, which includes medical, management/supervisory and Admissions department experience. Knowledge of third-party payers: Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance. Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal demeanor, organizational skills, communication skills (verbal and written), independent and self-motivated, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and computer skills, including understanding reports and utilizing word processing and spreadsheet applications.
