Job Details

Performs various duties in the water distribution, wastewater collection, water quality and meter service areas. Routinely performs investigations of collection lines and interceptors. Documents lines in need of repair or maintenance. Locates manholes and maintains accessibility for routine maintenance. Monitors chlorine residuals in the distribution system and conducts routine flushing to manage water age in the system. Performs flow testing, painting, clearing, and upkeep of fire hydrants and flush points. May support staff and contractors with maintenance, repairs, and additions to the citys infrastructure in a safe and timely manner. Operates various pieces of equipment and tools according to proper operation procedures. The employee performs related work as required.
