Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Scale Operator to support daily operations at Pine Bluff Materials in Sivells Bend, Texas. This role is essential to ensuring accurate weighing, ticketing, and documentation of all inbound and outbound materials. The Scale Operator will work closely with plant personnel, truck drivers, and management to maintain smooth, safe, and efficient yard operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the plant scale system to accurately weigh inbound and outbound trucks
• Create and issue load tickets, ensuring correct materials, quantities, and customer information
• Verify truck and load compliance with company, state, and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports for daily scale activity
• Communicate professionally with truck drivers, customers, and plant staff
• Monitor yard flow and assist with coordinating truck traffic to reduce wait times
• Provide administrative support for shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking
• Assist with basic site tasks when necessary, such as general cleanup around the scale house
• Follow all company safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours
• Basic computer skills (ticketing software experience preferred)
• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent driver interaction
• Commitment to following all safety requirements

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in aggregates, construction, trucking, or industrial operations
• Prior experience as a scale operator or in a dispatch/shipping role
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operations or yard processes
