Overview
We are looking for those with a passion for data and analytics. This role is responsible for assessing the informational needs of our business partners, and delivering periodic and ad hoc information across the organization, including the creation and enhancement of list reports, dashboards, and other assets. In addition, this role will be asked to educate the business on proper use of information and how to interact with it, with the goal of raising the analytical acumen of the organization.

• Eager to connect with business partners up to and including senior leadership across all areas of the insurance operation (Commercial, Personal, Excess & Surplus, Claims, Regional Underwriting, etc.)
• Equally at ease working both by yourself and collaborating with your Business Intelligence teammates.
• Comfortable with technology like Power BI, Excel, or Cognos.
• Passionate about data and have experience writing code or formulas to manipulate it.
• An advocate for using data visualizations and finding the perfect visual to tell a story.
• Detailed in your work, caring deeply about how you present your work product.
• Experienced in or have familiarity with the insurance industry.
Responsibilities
• Translating business questions into information requirements and either self-serving or partnering with IT for data procurement.
• Creating and enhancing periodic and ad hoc reports for our business partners using Power BI, SQL, Excel, or Cognos.
• Supporting strategic projects that sustain information delivery across the organization, including delivery platforms, data, and visualizations.
• Building deep knowledge of a subject area and functioning as an information expert to our business partners.
• Educating our business partners on information and delivery platforms through one-on-one or group training sessions, as needed.
• Challenging the information delivery status quo by seeking creative opportunities for efficiency gains in reporting and analytics across the insurance operation via automation, consolidation, or replacement of assets.
