Job Title: Tableau Developer / Administrator
Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with strong administrative capabilities to join our growing team. This role requires a hybrid professional who can both design and develop Tableau dashboards and manage the installation, configuration, and administration of Tableau environments.
You will play a key role in supporting multiple projects, each with unique architectural, security, and data integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Tableau Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions
• Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions

Tableau Administration:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server/Online environments
• Manage user access, roles, permissions, and security configurations
• Set up and maintain data connections, extracts, and refresh schedules
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
• Implement best practices for governance, security, and scalability

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in Tableau development (dashboards, data visualization, reporting)
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Server/Online administration
• Strong understanding of data architecture, security models, and connectors
• Experience working in environments with multiple projects and varied architectural needs
• Ability to troubleshoot performance and system issues effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing Tableau in non-SaaS or hybrid environments
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Familiarity with SQL and data modeling
• Ability to balance both development and administrative responsibilities
