The Director, Enterprise Resilience Projects will lead efforts to assess, prepare for, and respond to special situations at RGA. This will include managing the Enterprise Crisis Management structure, but also nontraditional situations created my unique geopolitical or other conditions. The role will develop and deploy tools and training suitable for a global audience, incorporating geographic or cultural nuances as required.
Principle Duties
- Leads design and deployment of the Enterprise Crisis Management framework, tools, and training to include providing hands on assistance during a crisis response to any affected RGA operation.
- Leads crisis forecasting discipline globally including providing tools and training to diverse stakeholders and participating in forecasting efforts globally as required.
- Supports senior business leaders in aligning available resources to priorities before, during, and after a crisis response.
- Lead crisis response efforts for Global HQ.
- Assists with assessing non-regulatory aspects of assessing and responding to geopolitical risk conditions globally. Maintains situational awareness of geopolitical landscape that could develop into an enterprise resilience event for RGA.
- Provides support to VP, Global Operational Resilience and assists with special projects.
- Advises people managers in the department and across the broader organization on hiring, training, mentoring and performance management, as necessary.
- Fosters a positive and engaged work environment for colleagues and clients.
Education & Work Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS), Business, Information Technology, Risk Management, or related equivalent experience
- 5+ Years Business Continuity experience in US insurance company
Skills and Abilities: - Able to work with minor direct supervision
- Advanced knowledge and skills using business continuity and emergency notification tools
- Advance project management skills. Demonstrates an ability to evaluate project objectives and scope for feasibility, understanding, scheduling, and managing projects to budget and plan
- Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into functional design and solutions
- Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
- Advanced investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Broad business and finance related knowledge
- Advanced oral and written communications skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well within a team environment, participate in departmental/team projects, and balance detail with departmental objectives
- Advanced ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously
- Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

Compensation Range: $107,060.00 - $159,390.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
