A Senior Developer should have the following traits, teamwork, analyzing user needs, analytical thinking, comfortable writing an analyzing SQL Queries. Critical thinking and document application processing is a plus. A Senior Developer must be able to troubleshoot and have programming experience.

SUMMARY:
Senior Developer - Credit Execution Team
  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Credit Execution team. The individual will play a critical role in transitioning an on-premises decisioning stack to a modernized, cloud-native implementation, as well as support implementation engagements for loans decisioning across a multitude of use cases. This transformation will be executed incrementally, enabling the continuous realization of business objectives across the development lifecycle, testing, and deployment improvements
  • The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to drive optimization and deliver value at every stage of the modernization journey. They should be able to fit within a team that has diverse engagement across a multitude of risk-based platforms tied to credit execution

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with teams in technology, credit risk, and product to execute the modernization roadmap
  • Become proficient in the existing decision engine architecture and business workflows, leading enhancement initiatives and code improvements
  • Assess and pinpoint opportunities for optimization during the platform's transition to its intended target state
  • Lead technical conversations and suggest upgrades that support smooth modernization

QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related statistical field and 10+ years in financial services involved with strategy-based decisioning platforms
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to work across a modern tech stack, as well as open source and off-the-shelf rule engine offerings
  • At least 8+ years of programming experience (Java, Python, etc.) with a strong fundamental understanding of data structures, and experience working with complex datasets
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and programming in Java, SQL and JSON to support design and implementation tasks
  • DevOps experience in a cloud environment
  • Proven experience in modernizing enterprise systems to cloud-native architectures
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and incremental delivery approaches
  • Expertise with decision engines/rule-based systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior exposure to data build tool (dbt) is preferred
