Workforce Management Subject Matter Expert (Sme)

The workforce management subject matter expert (SME) will play a critical role in the transition from workbrain to workforce manager, partnering closely with business, union stakeholders, ADP, and IT leadership to design, build, and successfully deploy a new workforce management solution. This role is responsible for leading functional design, ensuring compliance with union agreements, supporting change management efforts, and ensuring the system is configured correctly for long-term success. The SME will work side-by-side with project leadership through design, build, testing, and go-live.

Skills and requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in workforce manager (from ADP) or other very similarly aligned time & attendance, or payroll systems.
  • Proven experience acting as a subject matter expert (SME) or specialist/consultant during a workforce management implementation or major system transition.
  • Strong hands-on experience with workforce management platforms (e.g., workbrain, workforce manager, UKG/kronos, or similar).
  • Experience working with union environments, including interpretation and application of union contracts.
  • Strong collaboration experience with third-party vendors (e.g., ADP).
  • Ability to partner effectively with project managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing or plant-based environments.
  • Experience with time clock hardware implementations (badge, swipe, biometric).
  • Familiarity with change management initiatives during large system implementations.
  • Consulting or client-facing implementation experience.
