Senior Informix Database Administrator

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel.

A Senior Informix Database Administrator (DBA) is a seasoned professional responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of an organization's Informix database systems. This role typically involves leadership, complex problem-solving, and a focus on ensuring data security, integrity, performance, and availability.

Skills and Requirements:

• 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in Database Administration, with at least 8+ years dedicated to Informix Database Administration.
• Support Informix Database platforms, including troubleshooting and system performance optimization.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support as part of a rotation.
• Automate support activities like backups, patching, and script deployments.
• Assist customers in adapting to Cloud technologies and cloud-native Data Services.
• Ensure data quality in terms of storage and processing.
• Ability to go into office 3x a week - Netezza, PostgreSQL, Informix, MainFrame DB2, Oracle, SQL Server anyone of this db experience is required
