Commercial Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Material Handler for the 2nd shift. The core hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $21.94/hr + $1.20/hr shift differential per hour.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for unloading and loading raw material from trucks and/or commercial assembly lines to keep flow of product smooth and efficient
• Move raw material in a safe manner and dispose of scrap
• Operate forklifts
• Store, space, and deliver materials or products
• Stack pallets and arrange materials
• May be required to palletize and secure material as needed
• Receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist)
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities
• May use the spotter truck to move flatbed and dry van trailers as needed or required
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Valid state issued driver's license required
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong product knowledge
• Forklift experience both stand up and sit down

Position Criteria:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
