Job Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a yard loader to handle and transport bulk materials.
Perform daily inspections on equipment, promptly reporting any maintenance requirements or safety issues.
Assist with loading and unloading materials from railcars and trucks.
Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth material flow operations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery in various settings.
Strong focus on safety protocols and hazard recognition.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable in physically demanding and fast-paced work environments.
Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and operating checks.
Employment Conditions
The successful candidate will need to complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug test, and background check.
Must comply with company and regulatory safety standards.
Work Environment
This role will be performed in areas with moving mechanical equipment and variable weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand while operating heavy equipment for extended periods.
Frequent climbing, bending, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity to operate controls and conduct equipment inspections.
Visual and auditory skills to navigate active work zones safely.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive starting pay of $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
