Job Description/Responsibilities

Quality Supervisor (Food / Beverage)

Western Son Distillery is seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead and continuously improve food safety and quality systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for building a strong culture of quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing the quality team while partnering closely with operations. The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in driving product integrity, consumer satisfaction, and operational excellence in a regulated food and beverage setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee quality and food safety programs to ensure compliance with FDA, TTB, and third-party standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop quality team members through training, feedback, and performance development.
  • Manage HACCP, auditing, and inspection programs; serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits.
  • Partner with operations to identify quality risks, investigate issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor quality KPIs including consumer complaints, inventory on hold, and defect rates; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a proactive quality and food safety culture across all departments.
Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant quality or food safety experience in a food and / or beverage manufacturing and production environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High comfort using technology, systems, and data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Entrepreneurial or business startup company experience; while we are an established company since 2011, we encourage new ideas that support continued growth of our company
  • Food safety certification or experience working with Global Food Safety standards.
  • Experience with ISO and/or HACCP implementation or management.
  • Prior supervisory or people-leadership experience.
