The Market Associate ensures market and seafood displays are stocked, rotated, and maintained with fresh prepackaged meats. This role includes essential tasks such as trimming, weighing, packaging, and labeling products, while providing exceptional customer service.

• Assist in cutting, weighing, packaging, and labeling products using both manual and precision tools.
• Maintain quality control and adherence to food safety standards by ensuring proper stock rotation and organization of coolers and freezers.
• Prepare and clean equipment for operation and conduct checks to ensure proper working conditions.
• Drive product sales using effective suggestive selling techniques.
• Efficiently manage product stocking and organization in line with company standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and taking orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment by following company safety protocols.

• Able to operate digital equipment and meters effectively.
• Skilled in maintaining and operating department tools and equipment safely.
• Comfortable working with sharp tools like knives and meat grinders.
• Familiar with both non-precision and precision hand tools.
• Able to operate manual or electric pallet jacks.
• Proficient in communicating clearly with both customers and team members.
• Flexible to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attentive to safety, capable of addressing potential hazards promptly.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food Handler certification is required.

• Ability to use close vision and maintain focus.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, and maneuvering objects weighing up to 40 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Attendance is critical to this role.

• Work primarily takes place in a retail environment.
• Exposure to cold conditions, wet surfaces, and sharp equipment.
• Involves moderate to loud noise levels.
