Company We are Giant Leap, and we connect top companies with great engineers and designers around the world.About YouWe are looking for a Senior Android software engineer based in Europe to join our remote team and be part of Fin Tech banking project in African market.nResponsibilities Solve Problems: Work on our app, fixing issues, and adding cool new features.Teamwork: Collaborate with others in a design-focused setup.Tech Skills: Handle everything in our app - networking, data, and making it look good.Skills At least 5 years of practical experience developing Android apps, resulting in an excellent command of Java, Kotlin, and the Android SDKStrong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices including Custom UI or views.Strong knowledge of the protocol and based APIs (REST, SOAP)Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuningAbility to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch.”Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasksExperience in working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Unit TestingGood understanding of git workflows and git as a version control systemSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleKnowledge in reactive programming is considered an advantageIf your experience is close to what you see listed here, please still consider applying.
