As a Cook at Guiding Hands, you'll help prepare meals for our little ones.
Responsibilities
Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
At Guiding Hands Christian Academy and Childcare, it is important that each person that enters our doors are shown God's love. We teach about God, our creator, as well as social/emotional skills and age appropriate development. The two curriculums that we teach from are "Faith Stories" and "Frog Street" with Conscious Discipline. We run our program under the following values: Family, Fun, Integrity, Compassion and Learning. As a Cook at Guiding Hands, you'll help prepare meals for our little ones.
Responsibilities
- Prepare delicious, healthy menu items and deliver to classroom-based on snack and lunch schedule
- Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment per procedure and childcare licensing requirements
- Maintains the inventory of food items and prepares grocery list for ordering
- Works with the teacher and leadership teams by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
- Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
- Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
- Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a preschool environment
- Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality
- Shows initiative; strong work ethic
- High school diploma
