Location: Remote + Campus Outreach
Commitment: Part-time (approximately 5-10 hours per week)

COVE Animal Health is a veterinarian-led network of primary care, specialty, and emergency veterinary hospitals committed to clinical excellence, mentorship, and community engagement. With nearly 90 years of trusted veterinary care, COVE empowers veterinary teams and supports professional growth while honoring the unique legacy and identity of each hospital.

Role Overview

We are seeking passionate veterinary students (DVM candidates) to serve as COVE Student Ambassadors at their veterinary colleges and universities. In this role, you will promote COVE's mission, share opportunities for peer engagement, and help build connections between students and practicing veterinary professionals. Ambassadors will also plan and execute a minimum of two events per academic year to foster community, learning, and professional development on behalf of COVE.

Key Responsibilities

Representation and Outreach

  • Act as a COVE ambassador to your classmates and campus community.
  • Share information about COVE externships, educational programs, career resources, and professional opportunities.
Event Planning and Execution
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead at least two student-focused events per academic year (such as workshops, networking nights, panels, information sessions, career fairs, or social gatherings) that build engagement and awareness of COVE.
  • Collaborate with campus organizations, faculty, and COVE leadership on event logistics, promotion, and execution.
  • Provide post-event summaries and insights to the COVE team.
Content and Communication
  • Create and share engaging content on social media and campus platforms to promote events and COVE opportunities.
  • Support outreach efforts to student organizations, clubs, and faculty advisors.
Feedback and Reporting
  • Share student feedback and trends with the COVE University Relations team to help inform future initiatives.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in a DVM program at an AVMA-accredited veterinary college for Spring 2026 through Fall 2027
  • Strong communicator with peer-to-peer outreach skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to plan events while managing academic and clinical obligations
  • Comfortable with social media engagement and content creation
  • Leadership experience (through student clubs, organizations, or committees) preferred
  • Passionate about veterinary medicine, community building, and peer mentorship
This position is exclusively for veterinary students; applications from non-DVM students will not be considered.
