As the Senior Construction Inspector, you will: assist in the coordination and conduction of on-site field inspections of public improvement construction of streets, water, sewer, sidewalks, and drainage for compliance with local, state, and federal code, regulations, and specifications. Inspecting and policing construction activities within all city rights-of-way and the inspection of certain private improvements. Provide training and instruction to other inspectors.

What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of construction inspector experience.
OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum six (6) years of public works construction project experience including some supervisory duties.
OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of college/trade school related to drafting, surveying, utility construction, or related technical curriculum.
  • Minimum four (4) years of public works construction project experience with at least two (2) years progressive responsible experience as a construction inspector with a municipality.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
  • Must possess valid class C driver's license.
