Senior Manager, Media Partnerships & Distribution Development

Executive-Facing Role | Strategic Partnerships & Distribution Growth

Overview

The Senior Manager of Media Partnerships & Distribution Development is responsible for expanding the organization's network of publisher relationships, digital platform partnerships, and broadcast distribution. This role carries high visibility and works closely with senior executives and C-suite leadership to shape partnership strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, andprovide strategic insights that influence company-wide decisions. The position reports to a senior operational leader.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that broaden relationships with digital audio platforms, streaming publishers, and media content providers.
  • Evaluate new partnership opportunities, assess strategic fit, and present recommendations directly to C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Deliver clear and concise executive-level briefings covering partnership performance, market risks, and long-term expansion potential.
Publisher & Platform Relationship Management
  • Build, negotiate, and sustain high-value relationships with content publishers to ensure a strong and diversified media inventory.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to optimize content availability, distribution, and overall quality.
  • Translate partner feedback and industry shifts into actionable guidance for senior executives.
Broadcast & Distribution Expansion
  • Identify and secure new broadcast or affiliate partners to extend reach across audio, video, or multi-platform media channels.
  • Conduct market evaluations and growth assessments to help guide executive-level decisions on distribution strategy.
  • Present expansion proposals and business cases to senior leadership, supported by market insights.
Demand Development & Revenue Growth
  • Manage enterprise-level advertising or programmatic partnerships, ensuring strong engagement and ongoing revenue contribution.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase utilization of media inventory across key demand channels.
  • Represent the organization's media capabilities to senior-level external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Track industry and competitive trends and communicate their business impact to C-suite partners.
Executive Collaboration & Internal Alignment
  • Work directly with leaders across Product, Technology, Sales, and Marketing to ensure partnership strategies align with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a key liaison between external partners and internal teams, ensuring transparency and alignment across all strategic initiatives.
  • Provide structured updates to senior executives, highlighting progress, risks, and strategic considerations.
Qualifications
  • Proven success forming and managing large-scale partnerships within media, digital content, advertising, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, content distribution models, and/or programmatic technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and collaborating with C-suite leadership.
  • Ability to distill complex partnership or market data into clear, strategic insights for executive consumption.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, media partnerships, publisher relations, or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of leading initiatives independently.
  • Background in audio, broadcast, streaming, or digital media environments is a plus.

  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Skilled in presenting strategic proposals, performance insights, and business recommendations at the executive level.
