Position Summary
In your role as an Electrical Control Room Operator, you'll work alongside a talent group of professionals dedicated to the continuing success of Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
* Monitoring electrical rooms via cameras and a variety of electrical distribution equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Diesel Generators, Breakers, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Buses, Relays, and other electrical equipment.
* Operating remote breakers and/or coordinate switching operations as necessary to provide reliable power to site stakeholders.
* Coordinating with other departments to troubleshoot issues, turn on/off loads, and communicate as necessary.
* Participating in Leading Safety Metric activities to improve onsite safety and quality.
* Taking part in shift turnover briefs, which should include, but not limited to: actions performed during shift, any abnormal conditions, and outstanding action items.
* Providing technical assistance to junior team members as needed and coaching less experienced members of the team to improve overall level of knowledge and job satisfaction.
Shift: B shift; Scheduled for 12 hour shift, Sun - Tues & alternate Saturdays (Nights)
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
* High School Diploma or GED is required; with some college or trade school preferred, apprentice work/study program is a preferred.
* 4+ years of experience required with SCADA, high to medium voltage operations.
* Knowledge of the NFPA 70E as it applies to industrial installations.
* Understanding of electrical distribution system and single line diagrams.
* Knowledge of standard practices of the Electrical trade.
The current base pay range for this role is between $26.80 to $42.68. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
Night Shifts Include:
B Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
D Shift - Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
