Client Manager II
The Client Manager II plans, coordinates, and manages the execution of direct marketing and digital campaigns, primarily customized solutions on behalf of the client, supporting client business objectives and strategic plans. The role serves as the primary point of daily contact for the client, coordinates with multiple Vericast locations, and fosters a positive clientcompany relationship.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client regarding project initiatives across all teams (Marketing, Data Processing, Operations, Purchasing, etc.). Channel all project?related communications with the client, vendors, internal team members, and other company staff. Schedule and lead meetings and conference calls with the client and team members to review project initiatives and communicate updates on progress, opportunities, and financial implications of activities (some meetings may require travel to the client site and formal presentations). Deepen the client relationship through meaningful engagement.
- Act as a consultant to the client for the development and management of Vericasts programs/solutions. Serve as the liaison with the production scoping and pricing process on a project basis by identifying upsell opportunities, coordinating cost estimates, PWOs/proposals, and answering client questions on product or capabilities.
- Serve as the liaison with the Business Development Executive and Strategic Account team assigned to a client project by reviewing strategic briefs and coordinating client and team approval, managing changes in strategy throughout the term of a project, notifying team members and facilitating discussions with the client, and notifying the Business Development Executive of discrepancies in job progression or critical events on projects to ensure client satisfaction and overall client relationship.
- Maintain documentation related to individual direct marketing and digital campaign projects by opening jobs in Advantage, maintaining project notes and online folders for all assigned jobs, maintaining status reports for assigned projects and distributing to team members, developing written communication to inform team members of any changes in their project roles, and maintaining client edit and approval documents on items such as creative work and data processing reports.
- Serve as the liaison with the Analytics and Data Services processes on a project basis by assisting in writing data processing (DP) specifications, coordinating client review and approval of DP specifications, and reviewing data processing audits such as source file audits, interim audits, selection audits, and mail file audits.
- Serve as the liaison with the Creative process on a project basis by reviewing creative copy and concepts for support of client strategic objectives, coordinating client revisions and subsequent approvals, and coordinating the internal routing of creative documents for quality checks.
- Manage project process through the implementation of company processes and procedures to meet established client deadlines, communicate timelines to project team members and update as necessary, manage client budgets and project expenses, and ensure quality control throughout each stage of the process.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties above.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR required knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college with courses in Marketing.
Experience
- 4+ years of direct marketing account management experience, preferably servicing the financial services industry, or any equivalent combination of training and experience (Required).
- Working knowledge of direct marketing principles and practices (Required).
- Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning experience along with experience with financial modeling, best practices in financial reporting, and planning and reporting systems and ERPs highest standards of accuracy and precision and highly organized.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively, be highly?driven, and self?motivated with the ability to command credibility and influence across the organization.
- Ability to think strategically, act tactically, and embrace rapid change and ambiguity. Ability to work independently with limited direction.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with cross?functional and cross?divisional projects that drive change. Demonstrated Project Management skills along with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Communication and Contacts
This individual has contact with current clients, potential clients, external vendors, other account executives, business development executives and various employees within the following Marketing Services processes: Client Strategy, Analytics and Business Intelligence, Operations, Creative and Project Services.
Additional Information
- Base Salary: $60,000 - $80,000.
- Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.
