Job Summary: The Energy Project Engineer conducts engineering work to develop and implement energyefficiency and energy production projects for customer facilities. Projects include energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy systems. The engineer supports awarded mechanical and construction projects from design through implementation and is responsible for conducting and supporting engineering studies, analyses, and project development.
Specifically the engineer is responsible for the development and/or implementation of mechanical system retrofit/installation in customer facilities. Responsibilities include site investigations, analyzing energy use, preparing savings calculations, developing cost estimates, and preparing written reports. The engineer also supports engineering and design for implementation of design?build projects and works with other EES team members, customers, subconsultants, product vendors, subcontractors, and others.

Due to the remote nature of this position, applicants must have prior experience in remote employment roles. The role requires discipline, initiative, integrity, and the ability to work proficiently in a virtual environment as both a team member and an individual. Site visits and client facilities may include industrial or construction environments requiring adherence to site safety requirements. Travel to client sites will be required; travel may include commercial air, rental cars, or reimbursable travel using a personal vehicle.
