Essential Job Functions:
  • UNIX (Solaris) operation system administration.
  • RedHat virtualization with OpenShift framework support and administration.
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Datacenter Management: Oversee and manage access, systems, to include Fire Suppression, UPS, and HVAC maintenance scheduling.
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices in line with our local and global IT policy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as a team member on various projects and responsibilities outside the immediate scope of this position.
  • Manufacturing Support: Participate in support coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris) and application software.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, email, and backup systems.
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests and technical issues.
  • Maintain security through user access controls, and regular audits.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software technologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to support IT needs.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and update IT documentation, including user guides, knowledge bases, and incident logs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise-level UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, System Engineer, or equivalent role, with demonstrated success in managing high-availability systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with network troubleshooting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing tool support and working in a semiconductor factory.
  • RabbitMQ software, M365, Teams, MSOffice, Shell Scripting (bash), PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Certified on Solaris UNIX and Red Hat Linux.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex manufacturing processes, particularly in high-tech environments. Technical proficiency in managing and maintaining server and datacenter operations, including troubleshooting and recovery. Collaborative team-oriented individual who contributes to cross-functional projects and supports global and local objectives. Familiarity with software development and support, including documentation and version control. Competence in providing second-level IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Ability to enforce company policies and procedures in alignment with global security standards. Effective communicator who fosters a positive team environment and demonstrates a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, evolving manufacturing settings which depends on IT support for success.
