Position Overview: As the Lead Engineer for Surface Rock Drill Projects, you will play a vital role in overseeing assigned drills at the machine (L6) level. This high-visibility role will provide you with extensive interaction with various departments within our organization, making a tangible impact on our products and services.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for the assigned machine.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to ensure successful delivery of the technical aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Communicate with Commercial teams and partners to define product requirements.
  • Facilitate key technical discussions regarding system interactions (L6 and L5).
  • Support design decisions across Level 4 system teams.
  • Provide engineering assistance during both Internal and External Build Inspection Quality (BIQ) processes.
  • Engage with customers and dealers during site visits and factory tours.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for drills.
  • Assist technical stewards in creating machine Machine-Grade Product Plans (MGPPs).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing as needed and provide field support when required.
  • Promote teamwork and drive decision-making within the engineering community.
  • Balance theoretical knowledge and practical application to make effective decisions.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering program.

Required Skills:

  • Product Design and Development: Proficient in Teamcenter and multiple systems (hydraulic, electrical) relevant to machine/component design.
  • Technical Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-starter with technical leadership abilities, and knowledge of industry standards for construction and mining machinery.
  • Project Management: Capable of managing local and international engineering teams, developing and controlling engineering project budgets, and tracking milestones and deliverables.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying root causes of complex technical problems and evaluating multiple solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Requirements Analysis: Understanding product architecture, cost estimation, facilitating design reviews, and translating Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback into product requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with machine design and system engineering (structures and hydraulics).
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires working onsite five days a week at the Denison, TX location.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is offered.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary Range: $126,000.00 - $189,000.00, based on various factors including job level, location, experience, and performance.
