Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will play a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and ensuring accurate inventory management. This position involves collaborating with warehouse and operations teams to streamline material flow, improve space utilization, and enhance inventory accuracy through SAP system management. The specialist will also lead root cause analyses for discrepancies, develop best practices for material handling, and ensure compliance with corporate inventory policies and audit standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to assess space constraints and optimize warehouse layout.
  • Partner with area leads and forklift operators to reduce material touchpoints and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory transactions to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Utilize SAP for inventory tracking, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Create SAP-based reports to facilitate audits of picks and put-aways.
  • Lead root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
  • Develop and document best practices for warehouse material handling and order picking.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate inventory control policies and audit requirements.
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of ERP system experience, or a high school diploma with 7 years of ERP system experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced understanding of ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.
