Overview

College Consultant - Advantage College Planning role at Southern Association for College Admission Counseling. Advantage College Planning is a growing college planning business headquartered in Raleigh, NC, with Apex and Charlotte, NC offices. We are hiring full-time and part-time college planning consultants. Submitting a cover letter and resume is encouraged.

Location: Apex, NC and Charlotte, NC (Apex and Charlotte areas preferred; relocation considered).

About us

Advantage College Planning provides expert guidance to parents and students through the college planning process to achieve successful outcomes. We aim to make the process as stress-free as possible and find colleges that fit academically, socially, and financially.

Responsibilities (implied from role)

• Meet with students one-on-one, in-person, to understand their goals and strengths.
• Research colleges, visit campuses, participate in conferences, and learn from the team to develop strong college lists and recommendations.
• Communicate with parents to help them support their student without being project managers.

Qualifications & what were looking for

• Looking for work-life balance with a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends, and competitive pay.
• Experience in the college planning process, ideally in college admissions.
• Belief in guiding students and parents through the college planning process while reducing stress.
• Ability to work with high school students and their parents with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends and participate in weekly team meetings and occasional professional development during business hours.
• Located in the Apex, NC or Charlotte, NC area or willing to relocate.
