Site/Civil Superintendent About Hayden Tower Company Hayden Tower Company is a leading national communications construction company, specializing in full turnkey wireless site installations and tower maintenance across over 30 states, including Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado. Job Summary The Site/Civil Superintendent is responsible for managing and supervising all civil and site work for the Hayden Tower project, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role will lead and coordinate the activities of civil crews and foremen, and serve as the primary on-site authority for site development, excavation, utilities, foundations, and all associated infrastructure work. Key Responsibilities Direct oversight of Site Civil Foremen and their crews; ensure daily tasks are executed efficiently and safely. Plan, schedule, and supervise all civil site activities including excavation, concrete, grounding, trenching, and backfilling. Coordinate subcontractors, equipment, material deliveries, and inspections. Monitor construction progress, update logs, and submit daily/weekly reports to the Project Manager. Enforce quality assurance and safety standards; lead daily safety meetings and site audits. Provide technical support and resolution of field issues in collaboration with engineers and project managers. Oversee compliance with project specifications, codes, and environmental/stormwater regulations. Ensure company vehicles and heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, backhoes, compactors) are being properly utilized and maintained. Review and validate concrete testing procedures and outcomes (e.g., slump and compression strength). Train, mentor, and evaluate foremen and civil crew members. Serve as the primary point of contact for site logistics, schedule updates, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications 7 years of site civil construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Proficient in excavation, underground utility installation, concrete foundations, grading, and site layout. Proven ability to manage field personnel, foremen, subcontractors, and multiple scopes of work simultaneously. Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to job site safety. Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to manage conflict and problem-solve in real time. Proficiency with field reporting tools, drawings, and construction software. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications Experience in telecom/tower construction and remote site operations. CDL license and heavy equipment operation background. Working knowledge of concrete and grounding testing procedures. Comfortable with extensive travel (2-week assignments) and staying onsite as needed.
