Director, Technology Quality

The Director, Technology Quality is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality systems and processes throughout the IT organization. This role ensures that the company meets quality standards set by regulatory and customer requirements, leveraging frameworks such as CMMI and ISO 9001. The Director, Technology Quality will work closely with various businesses and functions to ensure that quality practices are following applicable standards, regulations, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Define and implement a strategy to drive adoption of service management and operational best practices. Foster continuous service delivery optimization and improvement.
  • Develop self-auditing and compliance capabilities around ITSM procedures.
  • Develop and implement a strategy and roadmap for organizational excellence in the application of ITSM services, procedures, and tools.
  • Successfully transforming the IT organization by delivering best practices supporting Service Management and overall Operations Service Delivery.
  • Orchestrate day to day IT operations, as it pertains to design, implementation, maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of the IT network infrastructure and supporting End User Support Services.
  • Develop and maintain strategy and approach for improving efficiency and value add of the team.
  • Ensure organizational procedures are aligned to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leadership on the design and effective operations and controls.
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing strategic guidance and oversight.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in processes.
  • Analyze and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier auditing processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and external parties.
  • Develop and implement quality training programs.
  • Ensure adoption of ISO 9001 standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate quality management systems into business processes.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages people.

Qualifications:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 8 years related professional experience. 3 years management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in quality management or related fields.
  • Experience with healthcare payor systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Master's degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to analyze complex operational tasks.
  • Ability to develop work flow processes for business and functional areas.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-departmental teams.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis programs.
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Salary Range: $149,040 - $276,656

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
