Senior Principal, Business Consulting - Manufacturing

Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Business Consultant to leverage our horizontal offerings and deliver value to our Manufacturing clients, primarily in the Industrial sector, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defense.

About the Role

This position may require up to 100% travel, working onsite depending on the client location. The role requires deep manufacturing domain experience and the ability to manage consulting engagements involving strategy, roadmaps, business case development, and process improvements across the manufacturing value chain. Experience with emerging technologies like Data Analytics, Gen AI/ML/DL, Blockchain, MES, HMI, WiFi & 5G mobility, IoT & Analytics Platforms, and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) will be advantageous. Responsibilities

• Client management, program and project leadership, people development, business development, and manufacturing thought leadership.
• Experience in consulting business development, including generating and cross-selling projects, developing industry solutions, sales approach, client management, proposals, sales campaigns, and managing the sales cycle (3-5 years).
• Leading proposal development, organizing pursuits, developing high-quality proposals, and working with leadership on pricing strategies (3-5 years).
• Supervising project teams, structuring engagements, managing teams in designing strategies, roadmaps, solutions, and detailed project plans.
• Mentoring and coaching consultants, participating in hiring, training, and coaching initiatives, and developing strong interpersonal relationships within a matrix organization.
• Interacting confidently with senior leadership across business and IT/OT, presenting capabilities, solutions, and leading workshops.
• Excellent client relationship management, executive presence, and communication skills.
• Practice development, including identifying trends, defining consulting offers, and building a team of practitioners.
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry trends and practices.
• Experience with transformation programs in manufacturing operations, especially in industrial manufacturing or defense sectors.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in consulting services.
• U.S. work authorization; willingness to relocate or commute to specified Infosys hub offices.

Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years in manufacturing industry with management consulting experience.
• Experience in business development, lead identification, and client relationship management.
• 8+ years delivering major transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 companies.
• Expertise in ERP transformations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering/PLM, or AI for Manufacturing.
