Emerson has an exciting opportunity in our Sherman, TX, location to join our team as a First Shift Welder. If you are safety conscious, follow through on commitments, and work well in a team environment, this position is for you. As a Welder, you will be responsible for producing parts of a high degree of complexity for the Sherman operations. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Perform fabrication welds on pressure vessels within the guidelines of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX. Evaluate and excavate foundry defects on castings and perform repair welds. Interpret CSP documentation. Prepare weld maps. Perform Level I NDE. Perform self-inspections. Operate manual and CNC machines. Perform MRB activities and work with Engineering to problem solve preventive measures of reoccurrence. Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
