Build and maintain accurate client medical records. Access client electronic personal health information from server, print and file in client medical records chart. Respond to requests for medical records from internal and external sources according to Pate policy, HIPAA, and state law, including preparation and submission of invoices for copying of records. Maintain security and privacy of medical records storage areas. Monitor and document the client/family follow-up system. Maintain and destroy medical records according to retention schedule and Pate policy. Maintain a working knowledge of HIPAA and other laws regarding confidentiality, including Pate policy.
