Operates large and complex specialized equipment used in the Public Works Division, and performs related work as required. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competence and satisfactory performance of these duties. Other duties may be required and assigned. Drives and operates large or heavy equipment in Public Works, and other equipment that requires the use of a commercial drivers license. May operates smaller and less complex equipment as necessary. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Adjusts equipment as needed for specialized operation requiring a high degree of accuracy. Maintains simple records of equipment operation. May lead a crew in routine daily operations. May instruct subordinate equipment operators in various equipment operations.
