KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer the On-Call phone from home on weekends.
  • Occasionally assist clients directly when coverage is needed.
  • Promptly contact CAREGivers to fill emergency shifts.
  • Handle Service Inquiries and arrange Care Consultations with prospective clients.
  • Document all weekend activities meticulously via the Weekend On-Call Tracker.

ON-CALL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must reside within 35 miles of Sherman-Denison, Texas.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information regarding clients and CAREGivers.
  • Must be capable of independent decision-making when necessary.
  • Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve client and CAREGiver challenges.
  • Exhibit strong phone etiquette and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Stay updated on all required training.

CAREGIVER RELATED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable vehicle with air conditioning and heating.
  • Auto insurance must be in your name.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of caregiver experience.
  • Comfortable working with both male and female clients.
  • Willingness to assist clients who smoke.
  • Open to working with both cats and dogs.
  • Willing to travel up to 45 minutes for a shift.
  • Availability from Friday at 4:00 PM to Monday at noon.
  • Able to commit to working at least two weekends each month.
  • Able to be available for two weeks a month (Monday-Friday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM).

POTENTIAL ON-SHIFT DUTIES:

  • Meal preparation.
  • Light housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Laundry and linens management.
  • Assistance with toileting and showering.
  • Care for bed-bound clients.
  • Support for home health and hospice clients.
  • Animal care (walking and feeding).
  • Running errands as necessary.
  • Providing transportation assistance.

COMPENSATION:

  • Flat rate of $150 (regardless of whether you work a shift).
  • $14 per hour while on shift.
  • Mileage reimbursement at the federal rate for any distances over 30 miles one way.
