Description:

McKinley Marketing Partners' global retail client is looking for a senior experience designer to work closely with other designers, product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to plan, design, and build innovative digital products.

This is a 12-month W2 contract, onsite in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Create flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts to define and communicate end-to-end user experiences.
  • Proficient in designing user interfaces for mobile platforms (iOS, Android), considering platform-specific guidelines, screen sizes, and interaction patterns.
  • Ability to create designs that adapt seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes, ensuring consistent user experiences on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops.
  • Experience in designing intuitive and engaging mobile applications and understanding app navigation, gestures, and native functionalities.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and catering to consumer needs, behaviors, and preferences, employing user research methods specifically targeted at consumer audiences.
  • Knowledge of mobile interaction patterns, including touch gestures, swipe actions, and mobile-specific interactions to enhance user engagement and usability.
  • Understanding of mobile performance considerations (load times, data usage, battery consumption) and designing for optimal performance without compromising user experience.
  • Conduct A/B tests specifically geared towards mobile interfaces to gather insights and optimize user experiences effectively.
  • Proficiency in utilizing mobile analytics tools (such as Mixpanel) to gather user behavior data and drive design decisions.
  • Capability to map out and optimize the consumer journey within mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and delightful user experience from discovery to conversion.
  • Understanding and tracking metrics specific to consumer-focused mobile experiences, such as retention rates, engagement metrics, and user satisfaction scores.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or design; experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5 plus years of UX/UI design experience.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating your recent work experience with case studies illustrating the entire user-centered design process.
  • Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Abstract, and InVision.
  • Advanced knowledge of responsive design and familiarity with related development techniques.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and how UX integrates into the agile/scrum process.
  • Relentless curiosity about people, technology, design, and life.
