Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Electrician and two years supervising Electrical work
Ability to work with tools and a basic understanding of building maintenance
Knowledge and skills necessary to install maintain and repair electrical systems
Such alternatives to the above qualifications the administration finds appropriate and acceptable

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assess Electrical work requests and schedule work based on student and staff safety, accessibility of area affected, importance of system operation and school activities schedule.
Design and implement preventive maintenance program for Electrical systems and equipment. Work with Director of Maintenance and Work Order Specialist to utilize maintenance management system to schedule and monitor PM program.
Monitor, supervise and instruct Electrical workers in the safe, timely completion of duties assigned and in compliance with District and Maintenance Department Policy.
Compile, catalog and maintain list of supplies and materials used to perform duties utilizing the inventory management module of the maintenance management system. Manage contacts with vendors and suppliers for systems and equipment the Electrical Trade maintains and repairs.
Compile and maintain record of tools and repair equipment utilizing the inventory management module of the maintenance management system for vehicles and storage areas assigned to the Electrical Trade.
Compile and maintain record of manufacturers and where applicable model and serial numbers of equipment and systems Electricians repair and maintain utilizing the Inventory and Preventive Maintenance module of the maintenance management system for use in the Preventive Maintenance program.
Monitor Maintenance Department maintenance management system to insure timely completion of Electrical work orders and accurate entry of technician comments, labor, and material costs in accordance with Department goals. Fill out District paperwork and electronic records properly and maintains records as directed.
Perform electrician duties when workload or importance of failed system requires it.
Assist other maintenance personnel as needed and directed by supervisor.
Performs other duties as the superintendent or designee may assign.

Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools, electrical tools, operates light truck, boom and scissor lifts, utilize safety equipment and clothing as required by District.
Mental Demands: Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; understand verbal and written instructions; ability to direct the work of others and schedule work based on importance of system and needs of staff and students; ability to motivate, instruct and work well with others.
Physical Demands: Continual walking and standing, climbing, stooping, bending and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Ability to operate a motor vehicle (light truck). Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects and vehicles. Work on ladders and scaffolding. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, odors and slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
Salary: Pay Grade OS08, $26.26 - $31.11 hourly rate commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule. Days: 261 Start Date: 2025-02-27 00:00:00.000
