Accident & Health (pomi) - Great American Insurance Group
Our Accident & Health division is hiring for a Senior Business Developer! This position will be fully remote with the expectation of frequent travel.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Develops strategic marketing plans, considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions.
- Prospects, appoints and manages agency relationships to achieve production objectives.
- Identifies and secures new business opportunities in target markets and develops and implements strategic plans, resulting in a specified increase in market share.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key agencies by providing solutions that meet their specific needs, leading to an increase in agency retention and satisfaction. Educates agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques.
- Drives revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets. May develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies
- Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Experience: Generally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a related role.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Strong understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships. Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset. Position requires frequent day and overnight travel (60% - 80% of time) to visit agents and brokers.

Salary Range:$85,000.00 -$115,000.00
