**Dispatcher (Customer Care Specialist)**

at TrueNorth Remote **TrueNorth** is a new kind of trucking carrier. Our mission is to overhaul the trucking industry by focusing on the people who actually do the work the drivers. Were building software that will become the operating system of trucking, by automating busywork, cutting out middlemen, and allowing the people who do the lions share of the work to take home the lions share of the profits.

**Your role**: As a dispatcher, youll support a number ICOs by booking loads (helping them maximize their take-home pay), helping them resolve exceptions, and providing excellent service to shippers. You will also work with our product and engineering team to help them build technology that takes the headaches out of your job.

****You'll thrive in this role if you:****

* Are compassionate, empathetic, and excited to work closely with ICOs and help their businesses succeed

* Have at least 1 year of dispatching experience

* Are comfortable juggling multiple, detailed tasks on tight timelines

* Have demonstrated success working as a truck driver or dispatcher

* Can continue to provide excellent customer service to ICOs and shippers through tense situations and emergencies

* Default to improving processes vs. following a playbook

* Are comfortable testing new technology features and providing feedback on them

****Day-to-day duties:****

* Get to know ICOs preferences and help them book the best loads

* Coordinate with ICOs and customers to ensure timely pickup and delivery

* Train and assess ICOs on new features of TrueNorth technology

* Provide feedback to the product team

* Provide after hours support on evenings and weekends as needed

* Bonus: have knowledge of semi-truck and trailer maintenance
